The Quit India Movement of August 1942 followed the failure of the CRIPPS MISSION in March 1942 — rejected as "a post-dated cheque on a crashing bank" — and the fear of a JAPANESE INVASION after the fall of Singapore, Malaya and Burma. Every other option mixes in a cause from an earlier movement: the Rowlatt Act and Jallianwala Bagh belong to Non-Cooperation (1920), and Purna Swaraj to Civil Disobedience (1930). Both halves of the pair must be right, which is what makes this question harder than it looks.
