Germany was required to pay reparations for the loss and damage suffered by the Allies, fixed at 33 BILLION DOLLARS (about 6,600 million pounds).
Two military terms: (1) The German army was restricted to 100,000 men, conscription was abolished and the General Staff was dissolved. (2) Germany was forbidden to manufacture or possess submarines, armoured cars, tanks and military aircraft; her navy was reduced to six battleships and the Rhineland was demilitarised.
