(2) MANDAMUS — "we command": the court orders a public official or a lower court to perform a duty it has failed or refused to perform. (3) PROHIBITION — the court forbids a lower court from proceeding in a case beyond its jurisdiction. (Certiorari and Quo Warranto are equally acceptable.)
