This is the REFLEX ARC: RECEPTOR detects the stimulus the impulse travels by a sensory neuron to the SPINAL CORD, which processes it a motor neuron carries the instruction to the EFFECTOR (a muscle or gland) the effector acts, producing the RESPONSE
