How are the Cytons and Axons of neurons arranged in the following?

In the CEREBRUM the cytons lie on the OUTSIDE, forming the outer GREY matter, and the axons lie INSIDE, forming the inner WHITE matter.
Explanation
Grey matter is made of CYTONS (cell bodies); white matter is made of AXONS, which look white because of their myelin sheaths.
In the BRAIN, grey matter is OUTSIDE and white matter INSIDE.
WHY IT IS ARRANGED THIS WAY: putting the cell bodies on the surface allows the cerebrum to be deeply folded into gyri and sulci, which greatly increases the area available for them — and more cell bodies means greater capacity for thinking and memory.
