Mention any two writs issued by the High Court.

(1) Habeas Corpus — "you may have the body". The court orders that a detained person be produced before it, and sets him free if the detention is found to be unlawful. (2) Mandamus — "we command". The court orders a public official or a lower court to perform a duty which it has failed or refused to perform. (Prohibition, Quo Warranto and Certiorari are equally acceptable.)

One mark per writ. NAME the writ and say what it does — a bare list of Latin names risks half marks.
