The conversion from "so... that" into "too... to" follows a fixed pattern: so + adjective + that + subject + COULD NOT + verb too + adjective + TO + verb
THE NEGATIVE DISAPPEARS. "So interesting that I COULD NOT put it down" becomes "too interesting TO put down" — the impossibility is carried by "too" itself.
TWO THINGS ALSO DROP OUT, and candidates often keep them wrongly: the SUBJECT "I" is not repeated, because the infinitive already refers back to the sentence subject the OBJECT "it" disappears, because "the book" is already the subject. Writing "too interesting to put IT down" duplicates the book.
This construction appears in almost every paper in this subject. Learn it in both directions.
