If you write no constructor at all, the compiler supplies an invisible one that takes no arguments and sets the instance variables to their default values — 0 for numbers, false for boolean, null for objects. The important consequence: the moment you write ANY constructor of your own, that automatic one disappears. So a class with only a parameterised constructor can no longer be created with new ClassName().
