ALBUMINURIA is the presence of albumin — a blood PROTEIN — in the urine. In a healthy kidney the glomerulus does not filter proteins at all, because their molecules are too large to pass through. Finding protein in the urine therefore means the filtering membrane has been damaged.
The other three, distinguished by their word parts: HAEMATURIA — haemat = blood. Blood cells in the urine. GLYCOSURIA — glyco = sugar. Glucose in the urine, a sign of diabetes mellitus rather than kidney failure. ANAEMIA — a deficiency of haemoglobin or red cells in the blood. Not a urinary condition at all.
THE METHOD: split the word. The ending -URIA tells you the substance is in the URINE, and the first half names the substance — albumin, blood, sugar. Once you see that, three of the four options answer themselves.
