HYPERMETROPIA (long-sightedness or hyperopia).
Explanation
In hypermetropia the person can see DISTANT objects clearly but NEAR objects appear blurred, because the image of a near object would be focused BEHIND the retina.
Read the ray diagram to identify the defect: if the rays converge BEFORE the retina it is MYOPIA; if they would converge BEYOND it, it is hypermetropia.
