At the junction of the CHOROID and the IRIS — a muscular ring surrounding the LENS, formed as a forward extension of the choroid layer.
Explanation
The ciliary body does two things: its CILIARY MUSCLES alter the curvature of the lens for ACCOMMODATION (focusing), and it secretes the AQUEOUS HUMOUR.
THE PATTERN worth holding once and for all, because several questions depend on it — the front structures of the eye are CONTINUATIONS of the coats behind them:
SCLERA → becomes the transparent CORNEA
CHOROID → becomes the CILIARY BODY and then the IRIS
That also explains why the iris is PIGMENTED: the choroid is a darkly pigmented layer and the iris inherits that pigment.
