Write the memory capacity (storage size) of short and float data type in bytes.

short = 2 bytes float = 4 bytes

Learn the whole table, since one or other of these is asked every year: byte 1, short 2, int 4, long 8 float 4, double 8 char 2, boolean 1 Note the pairing: float is half the size of double, and short is half of int. If a question asks in BITS rather than bytes, multiply by 8 — a favourite trap.
